I absolutely love winter. It is probably my favorite season. You have boots, sweaters, hot chocolate, yummy food, Santa, Christmas, and….germs. Under the weather littles are the worst. I am far from ‘Organic Only’ but when it comes to remedies for my kiddos, I tend to be a minimalist. That’s why I love that Little Remedies® has some great options for those rough months. I have LOVED the Gas Relief Drops lately with these two babies. Did you know they are even safe for newborns? I love when I find the few remedies out there that I can give my newbies. It is also great for your older kids who have little tummy aches, bloating, or gassy. AND an added bonus, it works in MINUTES!! When us mamas have a gassy baby you know we need some relief ASAP! I have always kept them stocked in my remedy cabinet ever since my 10 year old was a baby. It’s in the baby aisle not the pharmacy aisle!
Also, while you are at Walmart grab yourself some Little Remedies® Honey Cough syrup to keep you prepared for the months coming. What’s nice about this product is that it is 100% natural and only uses 3 ingredients! I prefer to keep things to a minimum when I can with my angel babies.
How to Organize that Dreaded Remedy Cabinet:
- Finding the right cupboard. Find a cupboard in your home that is high enough that the children are not able to reach or get into it. I have mine above the fridge height. Also because of my foster care situation it also has to be locked. So we have put on the magnetic locks and have ended up loving it. I never worry.
- Clean out. Clean out your old remedy cabinet. Throw away expired meds. Get rid of anything you haven’t used in awhile so you can start clean and organized.
- Separate. I separated my remedies into all different categories. From allergy, cold and sinus, pain, children’s, and on and on. Do what makes it easiest for you. The best part of organization is that it is all up to you and how it will make your life as a mama easier. Isn’t convenience what we all need at this point? I had these bins and so I separated my groups and put them into bins in their categories.
- Label. Labeling is my thing? Anyone else this psycho? haha. I love a good labeler. It makes my life easier and clean.
There you have it! You have a clean, organized, well put remedy cabinet. Now, head over to Walmart and restock on some Little Remedies® products and get organized! Plus right now this product is on Rollback – Little Remedies® Honey Cough Syrup 4oz (Rollback for $5.97). Little Remedies® Gas Drops 1 oz. are also on rollback at Walmart for only $7.17.
